A school rebuilt, a community restored
Volunteers and a local ministry team turned an abandoned building into a learning centre for 400 children.
Before
Children walked 6 km to the nearest school; most had stopped attending.
After
A local learning centre with trained teachers, meals and daily attendance tracking.
What began as a single outreach became a year-long partnership between a regional office, InnerCity Mission volunteers and community leaders.
The team repaired classrooms, recruited and trained teachers, and set up a feeding program that now keeps children in class all day. Attendance is reported monthly to the Office of Monitoring & Evaluation.
